Poems, conversations and music for Helga Goetze's 104th birthday
The artist, poet, and "primary taboo-breaker" Helga Goetze (1922-2008) would have turned 104 on March 12. Looking back, she described her path "as an example of liberation" and hoped that society would take her seriously.
To mark her birthday, the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Museum and the Board of Trustees of the Helga Goetze Foundation invite you to join them for remembrance, storytelling, and music on the final day of the exhibition.
The "Festival for Helga" is the final event in our exhibition "A Feminine Being, Intellectually Versatile, Seeks – Helga Goetze."
