Every year in spring, the BNDNWK presents approaches to thinking and design that envision and shape our future.

Over eleven days, exhibitions, talks, presentations, participatory projects and networking events take place at various venues throughout the city, where national and international designers, cultural institutions, companies, knowledge and research institutions present their work.

In 2024, the theme of the BERLIN DESIGN WEEK will be "INSIGHTS".
The festival aims to show how designers around the world are driving social change and economic innovation through their work, and that design has a leading role to play in addressing the great challenges of our time.

Programme highlights:

DESIGN + SCIENCE: A fusion of creativity and innovation
27 & 28 April | Behrensbau

The festival's own DESIGN + SCIENCE format will once again form the centrepiece of Design Week. With exhibitions, symposia and workshops, it focuses on the central role of design at the interface between science and research. The format scrutinises how design can function as a mediator of a culture of knowledge and as a central element of everyday life.

NEXT: Young European Design Perspectives
