The Berlin Atonal originally took place between 1982 and 1990 at various locations in Berlin. It brought together emerging experimental music with Europe's progressive arts scene and helped cement Berlin's reputation as a center of experimental high culture. In 2013 the festival was revived under new management in the former power plant and has since established its reputation as Europe's leading festival for the presentation of experimental music, performance art and video art. The upcoming Berlin Atonal promises to be an exciting and inspiring event that will delight visitors with innovative art and music.
