In her solo program “I am the KLEiKUNST in person”, Angelika Mann presents her audience with an extraordinarily entertaining series of chansons accompanied by her long-time pianist.
Cabaret becomes huge with the “Lütten”, which is only 1.49 m tall. Angelika Mann fascinates with her special presence and authenticity: powerful or quiet, explosive or sensitive, passionate or at the same time melancholic, she inspires her audience. She breathes the scent of Berlin air and has a down-to-earth instinct for revue and cabaret of the old Berlin style. Claire Waldoff is in the best hands with her. And the audience too.
New songs and couplets by Frank Golischewski - in the tradition of Tucholsky or Kreisler - make this evening of cabaret unforgettable. Songs like the festival chanson “Dear Diary” with subtly frivolous entries like “I want to be the harbor for your cutter, I want to be the mother for your screw.” . .” have fun in the most delicious way. And chansons like the brilliant 5-minute opus “Mary Stuart” - a magnificent foray through the world of theater and opera - rouse the audience to real storms of applause.
The audience can look forward to an entertaining, musically top-class evening
with Uwe Matschke on the piano!
