To mark this occasion, a multi-day program is planned around August 13 to commemorate the victims, illustrate history, and convey the value of freedom and democracy.
The central commemorative event organized by the State of Berlin and the Federal Government will take place at the Berlin Wall Memorial on August 13. In addition, a wide range of activities and events are planned to mark the 65th anniversary of the construction of the Berlin Wall.
