Guided tour of the permanent exhibition

On "Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel," you can immerse yourself in the city's past in a Berlin landmark.

What was the former significance of Berlin's oldest surviving church building? What do the foundation remains of the late Romanesque basilica tell us? What traces did the bombing war leave behind? And why is the former church now a museum?

On this "Sunday in the Nikolaiviertel," you can take a guided tour at no additional cost during your museum visit, where you will find answers to these and many other fascinating questions.

The Nikolaikirche Museum explores the building's former functions and the development of the medieval city. The exhibition features historical furnishings from Berlin churches, objects from Berlin's founding period, and large-scale city models. Various themed stations focus on specific topics. In addition, the special exhibition "Decolonial - What Remains?!" offers various artistic perspectives on Berlin's entanglement with colonial history.
