The line-up of megastars in the capital is so extensive that on some evenings, music fans will have to choose between several major concerts. And that’s without even taking into account the smaller music events, jazz, classical music, operas, musicals and other exciting events in Berlin . Our tips for your big concert experience in Berlin!
By the way: Harry Styles fans can already mark 2027 in their diaries for a visit to Berlin. The superstar is currently on a world tour to promote his new album and is planning four concerts at the former Tempelhof Airport. An absolute Berlin record!
Mega-concerts at the Olympic Stadium, Uber-Arena & Waldbühne
With the Velodrom, the Uber Arena, the Waldbühne and the Olympic Stadium, Berlin boasts no fewer than four venues that can accommodate more than 10,000 fans.
Robbie Williams has announced he’ll be performing at Lollapalooza (17 and 18 July) around the Olympic Stadium in 2027. Other big names for whom you should secure tickets now include Harry Styles (2, 3, 9 and 10 July) at the former Tempelhof Airport, Die Ärzte on 5 and 6 June and Herbert Grönemeyer at the Waldbühne (15 and 16 June), Take That and Patti Smith. Now aged 80, she will be performing on 6 July 2027 at the Citadel Music Festival
The Uber Arena Berlin will once again host numerous international stars and German music greats in 2027, including Unheilig (7 January & 6 February), aespa (26 January), André Rieu (27 January), ENHYPEN (5 & 6 March), Teddy Swims (11 March), James Blunt (20 March), Simple Minds (21 April), Gracie Abrams (12 & 13 May), Rod Stewart (1 June), Ronan Keating (13 September), Nena (23 October), Andrea Berg (30 October), Kontra K (2 & 3 November) and many more.

Rock & Pop Concerts 2027
As well as these mega-stages, Berlin offers four further concert venues for rock, pop and major events: the Columbiahalle, the Tempodrom, the Max-Schmeling-Halle and the Zitadelle Spandau. These venues can accommodate up to 8,000 people in the audience stands. Other exciting music venues include the Parkbühne Wuhlheide, Huxley’s Neue Welt, the Kesselhaus at the Kulturbrauerei, Ritter Butzke, the Festsaal Kreuzberg, the Astra Kulturhaus and the Heimathafen Neukölln.
Berlin’s club scene also boasts a number of exciting venues for concerts, including the SO36, the Lido, Silent Green, the Frannz Club, the Prachtwerk, Gretchen, the Privatclub, Urban Spree, the Badehaus and the Kantine at Berghain. Jazz: Concerts & Festivals in Berlin 2027
In addition to the concert highlights, music plays every evening in Berlin’s smaller clubs and bars. In established jazz clubs such as the A-Trane, the Quasimodo, the Zig Zag or the Yorkschlösschen, you can hear international stars and exciting up-and-coming acts. Both smaller venues and the established clubs regularly host jam sessions – most once a week, whilst the Hat Bar even hosts them every night from 10.30 pm.
In 2027, too, you’ll be able to experience established musicians and discover exciting contemporary jazz projects at numerous jazz festivals and concert series. Look forward to ‘Les Grandes Dames du Jazz’ on 14 and 16 May 2027 at the Tischlerei at the Deutsche Oper (9 and 11 April, as well as 14 and 16 May), Jazzwoche Berlin (expected in June) and the renowned Jazzfest Berlin (expected in late October/early November). Highlights for classical music fans in Berlin in 2027
The Musikfest Berlin, running from 28 August to 22 September 2027, will once again welcome top international orchestras, renowned ensembles and outstanding soloists to the capital. This major festival of orchestral music will bring classical masterpieces and contemporary compositions to the stages of the Berlin Philharmonie and the Konzerthaus Berlin.
Don’t miss the Staatsoper’s festival at Berlin’s historic opera house on Unter den Linden. From 20 to 29 March 2027, you can look forward to top-class concerts and opera performances. The programme includes, amongst other things, a new production of Puccini’s *Manon Lescaut*, Wagner’s *Tannhäuser* under the baton of Christian Thielemann, and Beethoven’s 9th Symphony with the Staatskapelle Berlin. Another highlight is the recital featuring the internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato.
A highlight for classical music fans is the Berlin Philharmonic’s season-closing concert on 26 June 2027. Under the baton of Daniel Harding and featuring star violinist Augustin Hadelich, the Waldbühne will be transformed into a musical ballroom. Look forward to lively waltzes, rousing rhythms and masterpieces by Johann Strauss, Maurice Ravel, Igor Stravinsky and Richard Strauss.
From 7 to 11 July 2027, the Classic Open Air invites you to enjoy music in the open air against the historic backdrop of the Gendarmenmarkt. The festival will be opened by the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, conducted by Antonello Manacorda, alongside pianist Lukas Sternath. The festival will conclude with a performance by the Italian trio Il Volo, who will delight the audience with a blend of classical singing and pop. Further programme highlights are yet to be announced.

Classical Open-Air & Candlelight Concerts 2027 in Berlin
Perfect for music-loving families with children is the Classical Open Air in the Britzer Garten, which is expected to take place in August.
With currently seven major orchestras, plus the orchestras of Berlin’s three opera houses and the Akademie für Alte Musik, Berlin offers an exciting classical programme all year round. In addition, there are smaller classical events at venues that are sometimes unusual and typically Berlin, such as the Piano Salon Christophori, a piano workshop.
Candlelight concerts are all the rage worldwide – and, of course, in Berlin too – where you can experience the music in atmospheric venues by the light of hundreds of candles. You can enjoy an impressive setting for live music in the concert halls of the former GDR broadcasting centre on Nalepastraße.

Festivals & Street Festivals
Music is playing everywhere in Berlin, even on the capital’s streets and squares. Every year, the highlights include the Kreuzberg Festival, Berlin’s biggest street festival. Scheduled for late June 2027, Kreuzbergstraße will be transformed into a musical festival mile with three stages featuring 60 artists and bands. The 48 Stunden Neukölln Festival is certainly also worth a trip to Berlin; from 25 to 27 June 2027 , you can spend two days and two nights discovering the musical and artistic sides of this multicultural neighbourhood.
On Christopher Street Day, on 24 July, the queer community will dance and celebrate their way through the city to the sounds of electro and techno. And at the Carnival of Cultures from 14 to 17 May 2027, the colourful costumes and a wide variety of multicultural musical styles will create a lively atmosphere.
Don’t miss the start of summer in Berlin. On 21 June, for the Fête de la Musique, the whole city is transformed into a stage. Music is played in the streets, in the parks and also in bars and pubs. Most events are free of charge.
And if you’re interested in pop culture, the Pop-Kultur Festival 2027, taking place from 27 to 28 August 2027, offers not only concerts and music, but also readings, talks, films and a wide-ranging programme of discussions that places pop culture within a socio-political context.
Music & electronic music festivals in Berlin and the surrounding area
As well as Lollapalooza on 17 & 18 July 2027 on the grounds around the Olympic Stadium, you’ll find a whole host of music festivals in the Berlin area that can be wonderfully combined with a city break to Berlin. Among the best known are the Wurzelfest, 80 kilometres south of Berlin in Jüterborg; the Hive Festival and the Whole at the Ferropolis site; Fusion at Lärz Airfield; and the Feel Festival at Bergheider See. Look forward to long weekends filled with music, art, workshops and lovingly designed open-air stages.
Local & Underground Tips
If you want to discover a bit more of Berlin whilst gig-hopping than just the big concert halls, you don’t have to miss out on music. Most bars and clubs with live music can be found in Neukölln, Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain and Mitte. The Schokoladen on Ackerstraße in Mitte is a communal living and cultural project, with a stage and bar on the ground floor. Here you can still feel the free-spirited atmosphere of the wild 1990s, just as you can at the Club der Polnischen Versager right next door.
A meeting place for musicians and anyone interested in the scene is the House of Music on the RAW site, where you’ll also find several other live music venues such as the Cassiopeia, the Astra and the Lokschuppen. And numerous clubs regularly put on live acts too. In Neukölln, the Klunkerkranich on the roof of a shopping centre invites you to dance and enjoy music, whilst in Friedrichshain, the Hoppetosse sways to electro and jazz tunes on the banks of the Spree.
In summer, of course, the music is played outdoors – in Berlin’s beach bars and beer gardens, or simply out and about. Let yourself be carried away – from the buskers on Museum Island, through the concert series on the Insel der Jugend, to a day by the water with music at the Wendeschloss or Grünau lido in Köpenick.
