Idyllic places to gather after work

Germany is famous for its beer, and Berlin is equally well known for its beer gardens, most of which are open from April to September, depending on the weather.
The Tiergarten park is where most visitors to Berlin have their first experience of a beer garden; Cafe am Neuen See is one of the most popular, but because of that, it can get very busy at weekends.
If you want to see where the real Berliners go, head off the beaten track to the Prater Biergarten in Prenzlauer Berg or the hip Eschenbräu, which is located in the basement of an apartment building near Leopoldplatz.
