Brewing up a storm
Berlin is well known for being a city shaped by unique sense of quirkiness – and the same goes for Birgit & Bier.
A biergarten like none other: gone are the long wooden tables of traditional German haunts, replaced with thrifted vintage sofas and armchairs; the traditional oom-pah band has been silenced, with techno DJs taking their place. As much as Birgit & Bier is a great place to start out your night clubbing in Berlin, it does have one thing in common with its traditional forebears, though: it’s serious about its beer, with unpasteurised, unfiltered Pilsner Urquell on tap. Also the pizza is to be recommended.
