Long Night of the Manufacturers

With this new event format, the Mitte District Office aims to raise the profile of the district’s diverse landscape of manufacturers, craftspeople and production facilities, and to enable visitors to experience local production first-hand.

The programme is divided into four thematic areas: gourmet delights, art & design, fashion & jewellery, and crafts.

As well as opening their workshops to the public, the manufacturers will also be offering guided tours, live demonstrations, tastings and workshops.

Visiting the open workshops is free of charge. For certain activities, such as tastings or workshops, a contribution towards costs may be required, payable directly on site at the workshop.

About the Long Night of the Manufactories

The Long Night of the Manufactories is a new event format organised by the Economic Development Department of Berlin’s Mitte District Office. The aim is to raise the profile of the local manufacturing and craft scene and to enhance Berlin’s tourist offering with an authentic event. It builds on a pilot phase carried out in 2025 with Berlin-based manufactories.

District Mayor Stefanie Remlinger: “Mitte thrives on the people who create things here with their own hands: in workshops, studios and small craft workshops that are often invisible from the outside. With the Long Night of the Craft Workshops, we are opening up these places to anyone who is curious about how work and production take place in our district. I’m looking forward to an evening full of fascinating insights, interesting conversations and new discoveries right in the heart of Berlin.”

The Long Night of the Manufactories project is organised by the Mitte District Office in Berlin in cooperation with visit Berlin, funded by the Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, and implemented by BESL Eventagentur GmbH & Co. KG.
