Something rolls across the stage – a chestnut? A ball? An egg! A Zazausel egg! But what on earth is a Zazausel? Naturally, the freshly hatched Zausel can't answer that question: only gradually does it discover the world – and itself – while we learn more about this growling, purring, flopping, and nibbling creature. Luckily, Zausel isn't alone – because something else is slobbering and nibbling nearby. Friend or foe? How do you approach each other, and what can you do together?

On a second level, the cycle of life unfolds through play: before long, new eggs appear in the Zausel nest and the search for food begins again – but what do you do when all the Bobbels have been eaten up? You water them! So that new ones can grow.
