Music by Johann Sebastian Bach arranged for saxophone ensemble
Seven female saxophonists and one tuba player, under the direction of Astrid Graf, perform works by Johann Sebastian Bach. Instruments that didn't exist during Bach's lifetime take the audience on a sonic journey through 300 years.
The tuba takes on the role of the basso continuo, while the entire tonal spectrum, from baritone to soprano saxophone, unfolds above it. This unique ensemble creates a surprisingly fresh listening experience—both steeped in tradition and contemporary.
Admission is free; donations are gratefully accepted.
