Opening of the open-air exhibition on Steinplatz
On Tuesday, 1 July 2025, City Councillor for the Environment Oliver Schruoffeneger invites you to the opening of the open-air photo exhibition ‘Humanity & Earth’ on Steinplatz. The photographs explore concepts of the environmental and climate crisis, culture and humanity in Sri Lanka.

Dr Petra Raymond, former director of the Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka, will speak at the opening and Ramanathan Parilojithan, photographer, will guide visitors through the exhibition.
The exhibition panels are bilingual (English/German).
The district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf and the municipality of Kalpitiya/Sri Lanka have been working on joint projects relating to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals since 2019.

An open-air exhibition organised by the Department of Education for Sustainable Development in cooperation with the Goethe-Institut Sri Lanka. Supported by the District Fund of the State Agency for Development Cooperation/Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises.
Educational Services
Interested school classes and groups can book a free guided tour with photographer Ramanathan Parilojithan from 1 July to 11 July 2025. The tour will be held in English. Please register at sbne@charlottenburg-wilmersdorf.de
