Born in Chicago in 1997, NoSo (real name Baek Hwong) grew up in a Korean-American family, accompanied by the sounds of legendary artists such as B.B. King and Aretha Franklin, whose concerts they attended together. These early musical influences continue to shape NoSo's sound to this day.
With his debut EP "Parasites" (2022) and the acclaimed album "Stay Proud of Me" (also 2022), NoSo created a tender coming-of-age narrative, giving space to daydreams of a life in which he can fully embrace his transmasculine identity. Between floating guitars, melancholic undertones, and a hope that continually shines through, an intimate musical self-portrait emerges.
The second EP, "When Are You Leaving?", continues this path—more mature in theme, more direct in content. Instead of fantasizing about a queer future, NoSo now talks about its reality: about mental health, platonic heartbreak, and the new dynamics he faces as a trans man.
At the beginning of 2026, it's finally time again: NoSo will embark on a headlining tour – with a stop in Berlin. A quiet but haunting artist whose music touches, resonates, and always remains deeply personal.
