Event on January 28, 2025 in the Berlin House of Representatives

In 2025, Berlin children and young people will once again have the opportunity to commemorate the victims of National Socialism in a creative way and at the same time to send a signal against all forms of anti-Semitism, racism and discrimination.

About denk!mal

On the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration and extermination camp on January 27, 1945, the Berlin House of Representatives is organizing the denk!mal youth forum.

The memory of the victims of National Socialism can be kept alive in many different ways - find new forms of commemoration!

There are no limits to your creativity: develop a short play, conduct an interview with a contemporary witness, sing a song, write a poem or design a comic.

Tell, sing, paint what has been kept silent about until now or what would otherwise be lost! Do not be indifferent to the crimes of the National Socialist tyranny, to hatred, violence and exclusion in the present! Use your creativity - for diversity in society, against discrimination, right-wing extremism, injustice and racism!

At the denk!mal '25 youth forum, young people and young adults up to the age of 25 can take part individually, as a school class or group and present their projects to commemorate the victims of National Socialism and their commitment against anti-Semitism, discrimination and violence as part of an exhibition as well as on the youth forum's website and the social media channels of the Berlin House of Representatives.

The registration deadline is November 29, 2024.

The exhibition opening will take place on January 28, 2025.
