This is the art of assembling very thin wood veneers into a decorative image: like a mosaic made entirely of wood. During the first two days, participants will explore objects from the Museums of Islamic and Byzantine Art. They will then focus on creating their own pieces: cutting the veneer and assembling their designs. On the third day, they’ll sand and finish the surfaces.
No prior experience is required.
