Design in 3D

How is a sculpture actually created? In this workshop, you will explore the Altes Museum in a group, guided by visual artist Fritjof Mangerich.

Here you will find ancient figurines made of various materials: stone, bronze, clay, and plaster. Through drawing, movement, and photography, you will approach the ancient body images. Which sculpture do you particularly like? Which pose will you take with you?

In the workshop, you will learn molding techniques and gain a basic understanding of how, for example, a bronze casting works. Using modeling clay, you will create your own 3D sculpture.
