For 70 years, the World Press Photo Foundation has honored the most outstanding work in international photojournalism and documentary photography. From 6 to 29 June 2025, the World Press Photo Exhibition 2025 will be on view at Willy-Brandt-Haus in Berlin.

This year’s winning images were selected from a remarkable 59,320 entries by 3,778 photographers from 141 countries.

An independent international jury recognized the most powerful visual stories of the year, reflecting key global issues such as migration, climate crisis, war and conflict, protests, animal life, gender, sport, and family. The awarded works represent six global regions: Africa, Asia-Pacific & Oceania, Europe, North & Central America, South America, and West, Central & South Asia.

With over 80 venues worldwide and millions of annual visitors, the World Press Photo Exhibition is one of the most important photographic events of our time. It provides a powerful platform for underrepresented perspectives and fosters public dialogue, understanding, and empathy.

Presented by the Friendship Circle of the Willy-Brandt-Haus, a non-profit association established in 1996, the exhibition is part of a wider cultural program that bridges politics and the arts. The World Press Photo Foundation, founded in 1955 in Amsterdam, is an independent non-profit organization that sets global standards for journalistic integrity, visual storytelling, and educational outreach.
