A workshop for young people on how to talk about difficult topics today - war, migration, injustice - and be truly heard.
We’ll look at examples: We’ll take current books from the library’s collection and analyze how stories are told in them - what the author shows, what’s left out, where the author’s own voice comes through, where the facts are, and how trust in a story is built.
From analysis to finding your own voice: Participants will try out one or two of these techniques on topics that matter to them personally.
Format: Group discussion + brief writing/speaking exercises.
In collaboration with Totschka Children’s and Youth Library Berlin.
