To mark International Women's Day, the Documentation Center for Flight, Expulsion, and Reconciliation is focusing on the stories of women and girls who fled their homes.

What were their experiences, and what did they endure? What were they able to take with them? And what stories do the objects they managed to preserve tell about flight, expulsion, and new beginnings?

In the permanent exhibition, the participants draw inspiration from these objects. After an introductory tour, they create comic drawings to gain new perspectives on the often traumatic experiences and memories. Which experiences shaped them? In the process, they also draw on their own thoughts, memories and emotions to create drawings and texts.

Creative workshop led by: Ami Bogin, illustrator and comic artist
