Parental leave concert with the harp duo Vielsaitig

The harp duo Vielsaitig – Liz Fréon and Maura Knierim – will transform St. Matthäus Church at the Kulturforum into an oscillating sea of sound with a wide variety of shades.

The programme, featuring works by Maurice Ravel and John Thomas, ranges from romantic virtuosity to impressionistic sound magic and touches young and old alike with its shimmering elegance, warm tones and virtuoso lightness.

The two musicians bring with them a wealth of musical experience and are firmly anchored in Berlin's cultural scene – from chamber music and contemporary music to opera repertoire with Berlin's major orchestras.

The special acoustics and atmosphere of St. Matthäus Church, right next to the Berlin Philharmonic and the Neue Nationalgalerie, create an intimate concert experience for shared dreaming.

  • Harp duo Vielsaitig – Liz Fréon and Maura Knierim
  • St. Matthäus Church, Kulturforum Berlin Mitte
  • For parents with babies aged 0–18 months Duration: approx. 45 minutes

After the concert, the adjacent Tiergarten park invites you to take a stroll, or you can linger in one of the numerous cafés at the Kulturforum and Potsdamer Platz. Prams can be left at the entrance to the hall. Our staff will keep an eye on them, but unfortunately we cannot accept any liability. The hall will be unseated so that babies can move around freely and feel comfortable – we therefore ask all guests to bring their own seat cushions or a play mat.
