The regional group of the “Mörderische Schwestern” presents crime stories offering a female perspective on our society. By the way, Mörderische Schwestern e.V. is the largest European non-profit association of German-speaking female crime writers, dedicated to promoting crime fiction written by women, and will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026.
About 730 female writers and women connected to crime fiction are “Mörderische Schwestern.” They live and work in Japan, Austria, Switzerland, England, France, Sweden, Portugal, Ireland, and Germany.
In Brandenburg and Berlin, there are about 70 authors; they meet regularly on the 13th of every month at the Kreuzberg pub “Max und Moritz.”
About the contributors:
Andrea Gerecke. Born in Berlin, a Westphalian by choice due to her profession, but always with her famous suitcase in the capital, press officer for the Berlin regional group. Various publications. Currently working on a humorous, flowery Berlin crime trilogy featuring florist Viola as the investigator, from which she also reads excerpts.
Mika M. Krüger. Has been publishing dark novels and short stories since 2014 featuring morally ambiguous characters, evil animals, and dystopian elements. She made her debut with the crime novel “Seven Ravens.” Her path has often led her to Japan in the past, which has significantly influenced her writing style.
Katte Rosch. Is not only a crime writer but also a nurse. Her professional experiences significantly shape her writing. With a trained eye for the depths of human nature, compassion, and extreme situations, she weaves nursing perspectives into suspenseful crime fiction. She will read from her historical crime novel “Wechselfieber.”
Susanne Rüster. A native of Berlin, she studied law, earned a doctorate, and worked as a prosecutor at the Berlin Criminal Court, followed by a stint as a judge in Berlin and Potsdam. She currently works for the Berlin Chamber of Psychotherapists. She loves literary escapades, which have resulted in numerous published crime stories and six novels. She will read from her new novel “Tödliche Abrechnung.”
