In this program, actress and cabaret artist Sigrid Grajek, accompanied by Stefanie Rediske on piano, pays tribute to the exceptional female artists of the early 20th century and the “Golden Twenties” who have been unjustly forgotten.

While the male composers of cabaret songs and chansons from that era remain familiar to us today, the female performers of these works have indeed fallen into obscurity.
Most people remember Marlene Dietrich and Claire Waldoff; Fritzi Massary is a stretch for some, and the names Paula Menotti, Lea Seidl, or Fritzi Frou are virtually forgotten.
Yet it is precisely these divas who gave the men’s songs a face and helped them gain popularity.
A musical journey into the past to give these forgotten divas the celebration they deserve!
