A conversation about Thomas Brasch

Who was Thomas Brasch (1945-2001) and why does the poet, playwright, filmmaker and translator still fascinate us today? In their conversation, Annette Maennel and Kristin Schulz touch on the biography and work, edition and reception of this exceptional poet of the last century in the tension between East and West - a generational example and a special case at the same time.

They talk about their encounters with the person and the author Thomas Brasch and talk about discoveries and surprises that have become no less frequent over the course of their many years of work.

"Who are we actually still? / Do we want to go? What do we want to find? / What is the name of this hole in which we disappear, one after the other?" (Thomas Brasch)

WITH Annette Maennel (Thomas Brasch heirs) and Kristin Schulz (author, Thomas Brasch editor)
