In the exhibition ‘Am Puls der Zeit – Gedanken zur Klimakrise’ (At the Pulse of Time – Thoughts on the Climate Crisis), curated by Danielle de Picciotto, international artists come together to address issues such as the environment and climate change, species extinction and water pollution.
Are they looking for solutions or do they feel helpless? Does art have a responsibility to address climate change? Is there a poetic approach or is this real aspect too overwhelming? Does art have a responsibility to address climate change? Does the underground deal with this issue artistically?
According to a panel of experts, Germany will not achieve its climate targets for 2030. The government's Expert Council on Climate Issues has announced that the plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 65 per cent by 2030 will not be met. However, there are countless individuals and initiatives around the world working tirelessly to improve conditions.
