ABER ICH BIN LAUT (BUT I AM LOUD) – novel premiere with special guest
Dominik Steiner has published the novel Aber ich bin laut (But I Am Loud). It is a story about wanting and having to, and about being different in the dreariness of provincial Germany. He will present his book as part of the Bar Reading series. He will be supported on this evening by Dirk Bernemann.

Dominik Steiner (born in 1981) has been writing for a while. But he is always learning new things. His debut novel “Leben und Leben hassen” (Life and Hating Life) was published in 2010. This was followed by ‘Angstgegner’ (Fear Opponent) in 2013 and “Hier ist auch bald woanders” (Here is Soon Elsewhere) in 2018.
Mr. Bernemann lives and works in Berlin. He celebrated his breakthrough with his debut “Ich hab die Unschuld kotzen sehen” (I Saw Innocence Puke). Since then, he has published further short story collections and exhaustingly beautiful novels.
The Periplaneta TresenLesen: There will be reading and talking. And drinking. The focus is on literature, art, and the big questions. Entertaining, sometimes controversial, and unpredictable in its dynamics.
