Polish playwright Sławomir Mrożek is considered one of the most important representatives of absurdist theater. His "Tango" achieved worldwide success, earning the play the reputation of a "modern Hamlet." His profound yet entertaining social satire premiered in Belgrade in 1965. Now, director Tom Kühnel takes on this grotesquely satirical masterpiece.
With Tango, the RambaZamba Theater is collaborating for the first time with the Kassel State Theater, as well as with the Baunatal Diakonie and Hephata Diakonie.
People with disabilities, together with the acting ensemble and dancers of the Rot-Weiss-Klub Kassel, take a fascinating and contemporary look at Mrożek's classic, exploring social injustices and political oppression together on the stage of the Kassel Schauspielhaus.
