Pre-Christmas concert
Cantus Domus invites you to an Advent hour full of sound and spirituality. The concert focuses on the veneration of Mary in Monteverdi's Ave Maris Stella, the ‘Star of the Sea’ – a hymn of praise to Mary, who shines like Venus over the sea.

Rachmaninoff's Vespers unfold majestic soundscapes, while Simeon's song welcomes the little child with delicate, lulling tones, bringing a gentle, Christmassy note to the programme.
Works by Anne Müller (Echoes, Being Anne), Claudio Monteverdi, Sergei Rachmaninoff, John Tavener and Johannes Eccard transport the audience into atmospheric soundscapes, and Tavener's Svyati, a meditative Kyrie, inspires deep contemplation.
