Organized jointly by the Schaustellerverband and the office of the district mayor, the festival offers rides, delicious carnival snacks and multi-faceted live shows, a successful combination of a classic folk festival atmosphere and a diverse stage program.


Rides are also numerous this year and offer exciting, spinning, splashing, fun: archery, dart throwing, duck fishing, Hoppegarten, Gaudi Rutsch'n, children's carousels, chain flyers, bumper cars, pirate island and many more.

With the traditional keg beer tapping, the district mayor and the chairman of the Berlin Showmen's Association, Michael Roden, open the 18-day folk festival. The supporting program is diverse again this year.

For the guests of the Steglitzer week is not only dancing and singing along announced, but also Mitfiebern - with the already to the tradition become small art price. This is where cabaret artists come together who want to become Steglitz's new super talent. Whoever sings, dances or performs magic best is ultimately decided by the jury and the audience together. Among the last three finalists, the winner will be the one who gets the loudest applause from the audience. The winners can look forward to prizes in kind and a cash sum totaling 1,000 euros.
