The National Museum in Warsaw, located in the Old National Gallery

Ahead of the first Chopin concert in the Colonnade Courtyard of the Old National Gallery, two special guided tours of the exhibition “The Invention of Myths” will take place.

As part of the new exhibition series “InterNationalgalerie,” the National Museum in Warsaw is presenting a selection of its outstanding works under the title “The Invention of Myths.”

Works by artists such as Jacek Malczewski, Zofia Stryjeńska, and Jarosław Modzelewski enter into a dialogue with the collection of the Alte Nationalgalerie. Join us on a tour that begins with the works in the special exhibition and also sheds light on the history and profile of the Nationalgalerie in Berlin.

The free guided tours at 3:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. will be conducted in German. Since participation is limited to 20 people per tour, please register in advance on the German Poland Institute’s website.

  • The concert will follow at 5:00 p.m. in the Kolonnadenhof.
