Brass concert with Traugott Fünfgeld

Traugott Fünfgeld is the district cantor in Offenburg, Baden. Whether as a cantor in devotions and church services, or in Alsatian-Baden collaboration with choir festivals, joint concerts and meetings, or as a composer with “Brass for Peace” in Israel and Palestine as well as in South Africa: “Tones of Peace” have become his motto.

He has dedicated some of his most recent brass movements to brass players in Berlin's city center, because since March 2022 they have been playing a "Peace Prayer of the Trombone Choirs" every Thursday at 5 p.m. Unter den Linden, between the Russian Embassy and "Freedom Square", the Ukrainian refugees there set up to remember the victims of the war. And that Christians stand for peace.

At the end of a workshop with Traugott Füngeld there will be a concert for peace - two years after the invasion of Ukraine - with the large workshop brass choir and organ. From “Dona Nobis Pacem” to Mendelssohn’s “Grant us peace and much more music worth listening to.
