Material theatre with a little water and a pinch of salt for children aged 4-8 years
Two clowns coax each other's precious tears. Depending on the type of tear, special measures are required. The tear of joy leaps with happiness, the tear of love tastes like a kiss, and the tear of farewell rolls warm and thick down the face.
Those who dare can even shed a tear of fear today. This is then placed in a special container, lest anyone get scared. Then the crocodile makes its entrance. But it doesn't really cry, does it? With plenty of water and a pinch of salt, puppeteers Ulrike Kley and Samira Wenzel embark on a quest to discover the preciousness within every shed tear. Are tears of sorrow heavier than others? Where do the tears go that must remain hidden? Is it even possible to include all 5 million tears we cry in a lifetime in a single play?
Beware, there will be some splashing!
