Buster Keaton's magnificent grotesque about the pitfalls of money and its impact on the marriage aspirations of thousands of women: Buster's company is in financial trouble. But just then, a life-saving inheritance is on the horizon. There's one condition: To claim the inheritance, he must get married quickly—by 7 p.m. on his 27th birthday, which, of course, happens to be today! Finding a wife at such short notice proves difficult at first, but ultimately becomes a curse and an escape when a veritable avalanche of marriage-minded women descends upon him. Can he possibly find the right one?

Director Keaton pulls out all the stops, from subtle to grotesque, and even treated himself to a color sequence in two-tone Technicolor for this film!

The silent classic will be accompanied by a fitting pre-show program, with silent film pianist Richard Siedhoff on the grand piano, while the film rattles through the historic 16mm projector.
