Interactive workshop for (young) adults
Based on Emilio Vedova's political stance and artistic works, participants will discuss and explore how they can take (artistic) action.
Vedova's expressive, gestural painting was linked to his antifascist activism. He was convinced that art bears a social responsibility. His dynamic, often fragmented compositions can also be understood as a direct response to the political and social upheavals of his time.
Participants will engage with his approach and ask: What form can artistic resistance take today? Together, we will explore strategies for translating our personal stance into concrete artistic practice.
The workshop will be led by Anne Fäser (Curator for Outreach, Kunsthaus Dahlem) and Philine Pahnke (Research Trainee, Kunsthaus Dahlem).
