Opened in 1814, the Georgen-Parochial I Protestant Cemetery in Prenzlauer Berg is still popular for burials today. Impressive historic graves and rare lattice graves amidst old tree stands characterize the cemetery.
Since the fall of 2022, 11 open-air exhibition desks provide information about cemetery and burial culture in the 19th century and explain the often unknown symbolism on the old graves.
A new tree bench on the historic plateau invites visitors to linger and serve as a meeting place for their own discoveries.
