The route leads from the Sühne-Christi-Kirche via the Kath. Gedenkkirche Maria Regina Martyrum and the Ev. Gedenkkirche Plötzensee to the Plötzensee Memorial.
In the former execution shed of Plötzensee prison (today: Plötzensee Memorial), more than 2800 people were executed during the Nazi era, including many people who resisted Hitler.
They are commemorated by the nearby churches in Charlottenburg-Nord. Streets, schools and squares in the region are named after resistance fighters.
The "Path of Remembrance" explores the memorial region around the Plötzensee memorial site and the neighbouring churches.
