It is unfortunately a mistake to think that playgrounds are places for children that are free from power games and prejudices.

The neighborhood walk shows how playgrounds are still designed with stereotypes and power hierarchies between groups of people after the formal end of colonialism. The tour is in search of the colonial era, which has also left its mark in Neukölln.

Anyone who is interested is welcome to come along and ask questions. The neighborhood walk aims to raise awareness, ask critical questions, and broaden one's perspective a little. Families are expressly welcome.
