musical farewell to the Pergamonmuseum
The DSO and Bibiana Beglau say goodbye to the Pergamonmuseum together with the audience with a special concert called "Notturno Extra" on October 14th. The Pergamonmuseum will be completely closed to visitors from October 23rd due to renovation work.
For this concert, the actress has curated a selection of short texts and poems from the extensive work of Pier Paolo Pasolini, relating to urban life and often to its nocturnal aspects. The actress's interpretive power merges impressively with Pasolini's seemingly casual yet powerful poetry. The concert, together with an exciting program for a woodwind quintet, offers a visually and acoustically intensive evening against the impressive backdrop of the Ishtar Gate.

The "Notturno" series, a popular success not only for night owls, retains its tried and tested concept in its 14th season. In the concerts, the DSO and the SPK (Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation) inspire Berlin audiences at changing places of art and knowledge. The unique combination of chamber music in dialogue with extraordinary spaces and collections always creates diverse and inspiring artistic experiences.
A concert will follow on February 9, 2024 in the Museum of Photography at Bahnhof Zoo. The third concert in the series this season will take place on May 24, 2024 at the Yadegar Asisi Pergamon-Panorama and will be presented by a woodwind and brass sextet from the DSO.
