The Danish Embassy presents the exhibition “A Common Room in a Changing World,” showcasing how democracy is lived in Denmark – open, debate-friendly, and community-oriented. During Berlin Freedom Week and beyond, the interactive exhibition invites visitors to discover more about Danish communal culture and take a closer look at Denmark’s renowned political festivals (Folkemøder) and folk high schools (Folkehøjskoler) – spaces of dialogue and civic participation.

Whether in the debate arena or at the large “Democracy Dinner” table: participation is encouraged throughout the exhibition. “A Common Room in a Changing World” is shown as part of Denmark’s EU Council Presidency.
The tour takes place at 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
