The exhibition focuses on the early work of the Swiss universal artist Max Bill (1908–1994). It spans a wide range, from the artist's works from his Bauhaus period, to his formally and colorfully strong watercolors from 1932/33, to works of Concrete Art that herald his era at the HfG Ulm.
In addition, Max Bill's 1932 design for a mural with a large "O" will be realized for the first time on the walls of the Mies van der Rohe House.
The film "Max Bill: The Absolute Eye of Measure" by Erich Schmid will be shown as part of the exhibition.
