A theatre-based educational piece about dealing with feelings | recommended for ages 7-12
A sensitive yet monstrously funny play about children's anxieties and stress. It shows how children can learn to cope with both through imagination and community.
Lucretia Winter is new to the class. The change of schools, the move, and her parents' arguments are taking their toll on her. So much so that she starts seeing monsters! No one believes her, except for a well-known local outsider. Together, they confront the monsters. But Lucy soon realizes: perhaps it's not about defeating the monsters, but about learning to tame them.
The play is particularly suitable for drama-based educational work on stress in children, anxiety disorders, and dealing with emotions. Following the performance, teachers and educators can playfully and conceptually reinforce the practical stress-reduction exercises with their classes.
