Long Night of Climate Action

Under the motto ‘Combating a bad climate with a good atmosphere!’, visitors can look forward to around 40 programme items from the afternoon until late into the night: talks and discussions will be complemented by films, workshops, readings, concerts, comedy and artistic performances. The programme combines #Knowledge, #Emotion and #Action, bringing science, activism and culture together in dialogue. For one night, the cinema, theatre, club and garden of the Kulturfabrik Moabit will be transformed into vibrant spaces for climate awareness, exchange and inspiration.

Among those taking part are journalist and activist Arne Semsrott, energy economist Claudia Kemfert, sociologist Matthias Quent, climate researcher Levke Caesar, climate activist Jakob Springfeld, journalist Susanne Götze, AI and sustainability expert Julian Bothe, comedian Sebastian 23, and actor and climate activist Hannes Jaenicke.

Children and families are also very welcome: a participatory circus, climate games, magic shows and creative T-shirt painting ensure a varied programme where climate protection can be explored in a playful and fun way.

“Climate action can be about more than just sacrifice, bans and bad news. We want to show a different side: the desire for change, for new ideas and for getting things off the ground together. That’s why this evening will feature not only plenty of facts and exciting debates, but also music, art, humour and loads of opportunities to get involved yourself,” says Christoph Rinke, co-organiser of the Long Night of Climate.

Following the huge success of last year’s event, which attracted more than 1,000 visitors, the Kulturfabrik Moabit is once again inviting people this year to find out more, join in the discussion, experience culture and develop new perspectives on the climate crisis together.
