Jörg Schüttauf in conversation with Danuta Schmidt

In real life, the man with the sky-blue eyes has already starred in DEFA movies. The film "Die Architekten" comes to the cinemas in 1990, as a critical film made in the GDR shortly after the end of the GDR. Afterwards the break: Jörg Schüttauf was like almost all GDR actors. The offers failed to materialize. As a well-trained actor for character acting, he switched to the theater and television. To this day he is much booked, award-winning and popular. He is not only likeable and very authentic as an anti-hero or marginal figure. He fills these roles completely.

Jörg Schüttauf was born in Chemnitz in 1961. In 1986 he went to Leipzig to study at the "Hans Otto" theater college, which he graduated as an actor. The name Hans Otto brought him luck, because the theater of the same name in Potsdam engaged him for five years, important apprenticeship years. He has remained loyal to Potsdam to this day, even though he is always shooting in other places. Or when a very rare live talk with the journalist Danuta Schmidt takes him to Marzahn.....
