Bianca & Guy interpret traditional songs from a wide variety of languages and regions—primarily from Europe, but also from North America and other parts of the world. These pieces have been shaped and passed down over generations by numerous voices, instruments, and cultural contexts.

Using their own resources—two voices, two guitars, and their diverse musical backgrounds—they build on this tradition and carry it forward. In doing so, they challenge each other to rediscover and reinterpret the songs, continually exploring new modes of expression in their singing and playing.

Kindliche Kaiserin invites you into a world full of magic and stories. She focuses on the nuances, the hidden meanings behind the words, and expresses them with a keen sense of language and sound. With her gentle yet haunting voice, accompanied by piano, autoharp, and ukulele, she creates musical narratives that feel like modern fables—touching, comforting, and full of poetry.
