Twenty years ago, the Australian band Karnivool celebrated their breakthrough with their debut album, Themata – a milestone for a quintet that started out in 1997 as a Nirvana and grunge cover band.

Soon, Ian Kenny and Drew Goddard began writing their own songs, shaping the distinctive progressive and alternative rock sound that still defines Karnivool today.
In spring 2026, the band returns with a new album and Intervals as support for their "In Verses" tour. A stop in Berlin is on the schedule.
