The silent film classic Nosferatu live on stage
The art association ‘Flutgraben e.V.’ is presenting an event featuring film and music on Saturday, 14 February 2026, starting at 7:30 p.m., at the studio house at Flutgraben 3.
Under the title ‘Grenzland Filmnacht’ (Borderland Film Night), the International Borderland Film Festival Selb/As will show a block of 9 selected short films that were shown at the last film festival in 2025 in Selb, Bavaria, and the neighbouring Czech town of Asch.
The International Borderland Film Festival Selb/As takes place every year on the weekend from Thursday to Sunday after Easter. In 2026, the 49th edition of the film festival will be held in Selb and Asch.
The highlight of the event will be the group ‘Klangfeder’ from Burgkunstadt in Bavaria. Udo Langer, band leader and head of the group, will accompany and frame Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau's silent film classic ‘Nosferatu’ live on stage with his bandmate Markus Spiethaler using various synthesizers, keyboards, electric guitars, singing bowls, gongs and chimes. He has already won several awards for this self-composed film music, including the German Rock & Pop Award.
This evening promises to be a real treat for film and music lovers.
The live film music alone is a concert event in itself. Modernly recorded with diverse sound rhythms, partly improvised, sometimes very melodic, but also very dynamic and rocking. An unforgettable evening that will surely be remembered for a long time to come.(Language: German)
