Ginzburg Dynastie: »Klezmer«

The musicians combine the centuries-old tradition of Eastern European Klezmer with modern influences – from swing and Yiddish chansons to Oriental pop and the finest jazz music, there is something for every taste.


As trained professional musicians, the Ginzburgs are now in their sixth generation of continuing their family tradition, which is constantly being expanded and enriched. Today, they are Europe's only professional Klezmer family and specialists in weddings and other Jewish celebrations. They also excel in classical, jazz, and dance music.


The multi-instrumental Ginzburgs originally come from Yekatirinoslav (now Dnipro, Ukraine), a region where the famous Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson also worked. Their music enjoyed great renown as early as the 19th century – it was considered a special honor for the Ginzburg Ensemble to provide musical accompaniment for a wedding.
