GETTING CLOSER

Together with OSTKREUZ photographer Annette Hauschild, participants will reflect on their own identity and lived experience, exploring how a visual portrait of their generation can take shape. From self-portraits to short reportages, a variety of photographic approaches will be explored.


Over the course of the workshop, participants will develop their own visual ideas, begin implementing them, and create small photo series. The program includes technical guidance, group image reviews, and space for creative exchange. The workshop is open to anyone interested in discovering new perspectives on themselves and their surroundings through photography – no prior experience required.


Annette Hauschild (*1969, Gießen) became a photographer in bustling post-reunification Berlin. She moved to Berlin at the age of 19, studied at the Lette-Verein and attended Arno Fischer's master class at the Schiffbauerdamm photography school. She has been a member of the OSTKREUZ agency since 1996. She has curated several of the agency's exhibitions, most recently together with Boaz Levin Träum Weiter – Berlin, die 90er for C/O Berlin. Her work is regularly featured in exhibitions and international magazines. She lives and works in Berlin.
