"I spy with my little eye" - Songs from four decades

Gerhard Schöne loves change, yet remains true to himself and his audience, and has done so for over four decades.

He is one of the very few from the once proud and large ranks of East German singer-songwriters whose productivity and popularity have remained unbroken even after 1990.

The songs of Gerhard Schöne's new solo evening are conceptually based on a familiar children's game: What do I see that you don't see? What do you discover that I know nothing about? What immediately catches the eye? What is hidden, waiting to be lovingly discovered? Why can't I see the forest for the trees? When does a change of perspective help?

These are Schöne's songs, spanning 40 years, that invite us to look at the familiar in a new light, to remove our blinders, and to show each other undiscovered territory.

He also brings with him his latest album for both grown-ups ("Hummen Singen Schreien") and children – "Ich bin ich" (I Am Me).

The theatre opens at 6:30 pm.
