WOLFGANG [Catalan - Original Version with Subtitles]
- SP 2025, Dir: Javier Ruiz Caldera, starring Miki Esparbé, Jordi Catalán, Àngels Gonyalons, Anna Castillo, Berto Romero. Comedy. 110 min.
ABOUT THE FILM:
Synopsis
Wolfgang (Jordi Catalán), a ten-year-old boy with an IQ of 152 and autism spectrum disorder, is forced to live with his father Carles (Miki Esparbé), whom he has never met before, after his mother suddenly dies.
Carles takes on the challenge with energy and good will, but Wolfgang can’t stand his messiness or disorganization and considers him a “low-IQ” person because of his lack of intellect. So, in secret, Wolfgang plans to make his dream come true: to be accepted into the Grimald Music Academy in Paris, where his mother had studied.
This family comedy is suitable for children ages seven and up. It is an adaptation of the young adult novel “Wolfgang. Extraordinary” by Laia Aguilar, who also collaborated on the film’s screenplay.
Following the screening, there will be a Q&A session with the audience, moderated by Olivia López Bremme, accompanied by wine from the Mallorcan winery Ànima Negra and appetizers, courtesy of Hotel Gat Point Charlie (GatRooms).
